How many years does someone go to school for accounting?

I would like to know how long it takes to be an accountant. I think I need a BA but I'm not sure. And also, Once I get my AA do I need another 2 years to get my BA, or another 4??

I went to school for 4 years before the State Board changed the requirements for the 5 year degree for accounting. You should check with the site that I listed in your state so see what the requirements are..

Good luck and dont give up! it is an intense program but it is well worth it ..

A BA takes 4 years, a masters usually takes another 4 years.
