Love love LOVE Rex Michael -- that is such a manly, masculine name and works for babies, teenagers and grown-ups so it will fit your child for his whole life. Ivan Michael is nice, too, but Ivan and Ian and Aiden are really getting a lot of popularity these days, so expect your little boy to know other kids with that name.
I really think you can't go wrong as long as YOU love the name. Your child will grow up feeling comfortable with it because it will be all he knows. Pick the one you can actually HEAR yourself calling your baby -- one of them will sound perfect to you.

I have always liked the name Ivan and Michael sounds good with it, i think Rex sounds more like a name for a dog.

I think of Ivan the Terrible and with Rex I think T-Rex. Michael is good though.

Sorry to say this but I think if you choose Ivan he might get made fun of a little same with Rex (T-REX), the middle name Michael is a good common middle name
