It seems like almost every girl in New York has a tattoo. Last summer, I went up to Orchard Beach, and it seemed like 90% of the girls had tattoos (and most of them had more than one - one girl had at least 10 of them) And just about every girl in the city has a tattoo on her lower back.
Do you think women look good with tattoos?
How many tattoos are "too many" for a woman?
And is their any body part that women shouldn't get tattooed?

I think tattoos are a artistic way to for a person to express themselves male/female. Women inparticular are just more likely to not be as obvious of theirs as men are that's why they are in places that can be hidden or covered up by certain types of clothing we wear. That's why the lower back is so common,plus it's a very sexy place to have it also. I think tattoos with a special artistic or personal meaning look good because noone else but that person can relate to it,it will have something special for that one person. But if somone get's a tattoo because of a bet or some dumb drunken act then no it won't look good. All over body tattoos dont look good on girls especially on the face, I do admire the facial tattoos but I dont agree with them. But it's all up to the female, if she wants something meaningful and personal it will be beautiful no matter where it is. But if it's just some joke of a thing to do, just to fit in a crowd ,then it will be as ridiculous as the person who gets it.

In cultures such as many in Africa, there are traditions that require you to get a tattoo. Their tattoos are a bit different, but I believe that is where tattoos are from as well as some parts in Hawaii I believe. Tattoos have been around for a long time, thousands and thousands of years. I have seen a culture where when a women gets pregnant, she gets a special tattoo that represents her going into mother hood; it is a extremely important tattoo for the women..it means they are now a full woman. I have no idea why white people have put such a bad rep. on tattoos, especially on women. It is incredibly insulting to cultures that put true traditional meaning behind them -like tribal face tattoos- to get any for mere fun.

I think a few tattoos on a woman are fine.I have one on the back of my left shoulder.So I can choose to show it,or not as the case may be.I don't know about anybody else,but my tattoo was done for sentimental reasons and means a lot to me. I also didn't get mine untill I was older and knew what I was doing.I've had it for about 5 years now and I'd still do it again if given the chance to change my mind.

I think women look great with tattoos the more tattoos a woman has the better looking she is to me.I don't think there isn't any part of the body that women shouldn't get tattooed.

I have 6 tattoo's but they are on my back & stomach so if i feel the need then i can hide them(like say when i'm 70)Ha Ha.I personaly dont like women with tattoo's on there arm's.It also depends what the tattoo's are! Say like a pit bull on a women's chest would be a BIG no no!

I do not like tattoos on anyone. I think these people who are getting tattoos when they are young are going to be really upset when they age and the tattoo looks old and faded on their droopy skin

I am a female.
I see it as a complete FAD. These women all want to be unique, but they really all just look the same. Unless you are really close up, tattoos look like bruises, and make women look either abused, or like they haven't bathed.
All these gals are going to have tattoos when they are 50, after they have changed their styles, and will wish they had never gotten them.
And (oh you are all gonna hate me now, because you all have them): what is with those silly tattoos right over your rear end on your lower back? What is that? Why don't these people just put big arrow tattoos there, saying "Yes, my rear end is THAT way".
(sigh)....another silly fad.

A couple or 3 tats are cool on certain parts of (butterfly on the breast, or ankle.) the body and very sexy on a woman. Imean quality work, not prison tattoos.

I think tattoos are cool on women but they should be somewhere that can be covered up. It doesnt look very classy to be in an evening dress and have tattoos everywhere
