Do you think there are people that have lived their entire lives without ever knowing the feeling of being in a romantic love with another? If so, why would you think they would do this? Just curious.

Yes I'm sure there have been lots of people who have lived their lives without ever being in a romantic love relationship... This could be for many reasons. Some could be personal, such as trust issues or something of the sort.. Which could in turn hold them back from finding the one person they were 'meant to be with' if you believe in that kind of thing. Perhaps they just never found the right person.. Or the right person never found them. Some people are anti-social and don't believe in love, which is definitely a contributing factor. It is also quite possible that they do want to love, but for reasons beyond their control they just can't seem to snag 'em... I'm not sure. I just hope I find my one true love before I die.

Yes, I do believe there are people that are out there without knowing the feeling of being in "a romantic love". I think there are people who were abused by family or lost things they loved, and feel that love leads to pain - so before romance can even be considered, they do not let people in so they do not have to feel the loss.

The reason I've never had a true romantic love is, I was born with a really small penis. No woman will stay with me long enough to fall in love. I can't take the rejection anymore so I gave up trying. I've elected to spend the rest of my life alone. My cat is all I need. I've submitted posts on dating forums. I state up front what my problem is. No woman wants me.
I've offered to wear a strap on. This is painful to talk about. I've considered just having it cut off. Whenever I look at it, it mocks me. It's a testimony to my failure as a man. I'm one of the most caring people you'll ever meet. Totally honest. Hard working. Not bad looking either. I'd make a wonderful father. Heck, I'll even give up sex all together if she'll just accept me for who I am. Mr small penis. That's me.

I'm fairly certain I qualify, and at the age of 50 I can answer for the best part of my life.
Why would I do that? I'm not sure I've ever had the means/opportunity to do different.
(And we're not talking about any history of abuse, here)
When younger a variety of tentative attempts proved I really didn't "get" the concept. My remaining doubts still centre on not having an adequate definition of that very variable term "love".
I can do committment, concern, affection, duty, care...
But that doesn't appear to cover it.
Ah, well, I've never really been much of a match for the statistical "norm".

i am like that, i have never fallen in love in my life. i am 27 years old and i don't expect to ever fall in love. i think about everything a lot and i have come to believe that love is one thing that doesn't exist. its all about having sex, the physical pleasure is enough and there is no need to be emotionally attached to one person. there are more important things that i could be doing that wasting time falling in love. i enjoy working hard and learning, so if you call this falling in love then i am in love, with my work. i cant imagine what it would be like to fall in love with a person, i would probably not forgive my self for betraying my self. i guess some people are right, it might be that i don't trust anybody, but what the hell, i find a lot more fascination in what i don than falling in love. besides every one does it, i don't want to be like everyone else.

There probably are. Some people have to have complete control over their lives and others. I don't think these kind of people experience real love. Real love means giving of yourself and accepting the giving of others. You have to be open. People with control problems aren't open.
