They give you something to hold.
You squeeze it.
They sick a needle in your arm. It hurts about as much as a pinch.
Blood spurts out and fills a vial.
They remove the needle, place a cotton swab on the wound and put a piece of tape over it.
Your doctor gets the results in a couple of days.

It's a very simple and relatively quick process.
The person drawing the blood will likely tie a rubber tourniquet on your arm, just above the vein they will draw the blood from. You may or may not be asked to squeeze a ball or something soft to increase blood flow. The area to be used will be sterilized with an alcohol pad. If you are uncomfortable with needles, I would look away and you will feel a slight pinch. Then they will connect a vacutube to the end of the needle and the blood will flow into the tube. Most often, they will draw two or three tubes. The whole process can be done in a matter of minutes. Don't worry. After it's all done, you'll see it was nothing to worry about. Good luck.

There is nothing to worry about at all. You will hardly feel a thing. It will be all over before you know it. First of all they will tie a rubber band around your upper arm in order to get good blood supply in the vein. Then they will ask you to pump your fist a few times to get an even better supply to the vein. They will then stick a very small needle into your vein and draw the blood into a vial. It is not a big procedure at all. You will be fine!

They tie a rubber turnicate around your upper arm wait a few seconds to get a good vein (sometimes they tap the vein) then they'll say "little pinch" as they insert the needle into your vein and withdraw your blood. As they are finishing they will remove the turnicate and apply a cotton ball to the area.

Don't worry-It's no big deal. of course there is needle involved
but it is not painful- just a pinch-they draw a small vile or 2 of
blood(depending on how on many things are being checked
such as liver panel,metabolic panel,lipid profile,ggt, etc....
really the amount drawn is not important-it's just a quick pinch.
you'll be fine- I PROMISE.

nothing to it, a elastic band will be placed around your upper arm and a needle will be inserted in the vein in your elbow where the skin is thin and blood will be drawn. don,t worry it,s mildly uncomfortable for a few seconds that is all

Don't worry about it. They'll just draw a blood sample with a needle and you're done. Nothing big...just don't look while they do it. : )
