a "sell-out" is some one who trades in his virtues for a baser or seedier gain. one often hears this about musicians or bands when they gain fame (and money) - they "sold out" their core values for said fame and lucre.

p.s. you don't have to spell correctly to be a cool dude, but calling people "gay" isn't going to help.

p.p.s. Green Day "sold out" with their album "Dookie" in, like, 1993 or '94. they rocked before that, though.

A sell out is someone who goes against their own beliefs just for a small benefit, usually financial.

For example, if I believe that there is no God, but I got married in church to keep my bride happy - I'd have sold out.

its sell and it can have two meaning, either all the ticket to an even have sold out, hence the even is a sell out.

or if about a person, implies they have given up their morals/principles for monetary reason

you can't spell. stop adding "r's" to the word can't.
a sell out sort of depends on what you're talking about, but in general it refers to someone who "sells-out" their beliefs or values for money.
take a musician, for instance. if an indie band that's all about anti-capitalism sells production rights to a major record producer (like sony), that's selling out. They do it to make money, and yet continue to preach anti-capitalism.
another term for it would be hypocrisy.

That would depend on who was saying it. In Prison it is Cell In or Cell Out depending if we want the inmate in or out of his Cell.
