Dolly's hair is not 'thinning', Dolly has baby fine hair. There's a big difference. Ask some of us blondes! ;-) She's worn wigs since she was 19. Her hair is 'fine' and doesn't style well. So, wigs let her have better hairstyles. Her natural hair color is also light brown, not blonde. Dolly says it's a lot easier to plop on a wig than to sit in a chair and have a hairdresser style her hair for each appearance. Years ago, Dolly was being interviewed and she said she never goes anywhere without her wig. There was a picture on tv with Dolly and her natural hair which was brown. She spoke about her love of big blonde wigs, makeup and how she had come from a very poor family , her mother did make her a calico coat to wear. She also had and probably still has a husband who never wanted to be in the spotlight. He did not travel with her on tours. I do not know if they split up or just go their own ways. Dolly is a very talented singer, songwriter and musician.She is very gracious and charming.

That's what I've heard, not sure about now, but you use to could buy Dolly Parton wigs. I guess she wears them, so that she will look pretty all the time.

Yes, she does wear wigs-because her hair is so thin, she would rather have the big wigs than to look as if she has no hair.True fact.

dolly has always worn wigs, no ones hair is that big. she's basically a big ole drag queen, and i love her!

I think she still does. I know in the 70's and 80's she wore hair pieces. I'm not as to why.

yes, I assume so she won't have to worry about a bad hair day. I'm thinking she said her hair was a little thin too, but I'm not sure about that.
