Asking this to understand the position of pro life people better.Do you think no one will have an abortion anymore once it's outlawed?
If not what should the punishment be?For the mother and or the doctor?
How would this work excactly?

Good question, good thinking. I certainly don't like the idea of abortion, but the alternative possibility of the outcome is scary.
First all more ignorant women will bring their babies to term and discard them or kill them.
Reopening of Orphanages and the financial burden in society. Would you like to spend your childhood parentless wondering why mom and dad didn't want you? Pro Lifers say oh, people will adopt the babies, but the truth is, the majority of the people who are adopt are white. The majority of the babies put up for adoption are black or hispanic. The majority of white couples do not want to adopt any child other than white because people know that their children were adopted. The other problem is that couples do not want to adopt in the United states because it is too easy for the birth mother to reclaim her child after she has given up rights. You cannot imagine the mental horror.
So - what I am saying, we SHOULD NOT punish or outlaw abortions. To do so is inhumane. Unfortunatly and contrary to popular belief, Not all life is meant to be.
Knowing what I know now, I would rather be humanly killed than left in an orphanage to rot, or being pulled between different gaurdians.
We need to promote birth control and the morning after pill so that a fertilized egg does not have time to develop into a fetus.
Look at it this way: Just because you have and mix all the ingredients to make a cake, if you don't bake it, it's still not a cake.

I'm pro-Life, but don't think that every abortion should be punished, nor do I think that it should be outlawed.
But here are some of my ideas about what should change:
- If you have an unwanted pregnancy, you should have to go to a medical professional (maybe could be a group counseling thing) and learn about the physical and emotional risks of abortion, as well as exploring altrenatives.
- If you are under 18, you have to have parental permission, and they have to go with you to the informational meeting.
- On the way out the door at the abortion clinic, a nurse should be administering mandatory Depo shots.
Although the law says it is not a crime, as a woman it's very shameful to take no pride in your body and your unborn children. Too many young women and girls use abortion as birth control, and that's just wrong.

I think the "doctor" should get the death penalty, and no punishment for the mother. I can understand how a woman could make an irrational and emotional decision to get an abortion, but a "doctor" should know better.
I put "doctor" in quotes because I don't know how any person can swear to "do no harm" (the Hippocratic oath), and then violently rip a person limb from limb, and still call themselves a doctor.
To be consistent, I'm not just in favor of the death penalty for abortion "doctors", but for all murderers. Once you steal a life, you forfeit your own.

Mainly, its more that the practice be made illegal. Once no doctors and clinics are performing the practice the millions of children being kill will drop to a small handful.
After that, I have no idea what the punishment should be. In my mind, its murder, and also in my mind murder deserves the death penalty but I doubt the government would go near there.
However, I know a doctor should have his medical license stripped and probably time in jail and fines. He's a guilty as the mother.

I'm sure it will be some kind of fine on the doctors who perform it.
By the way, since you haven't bothered to study the Christian faith, tx, we have no laws regarding the punishment of any crime. In fact, Jesus turned away a mob of people who had come to stone a woman for adultery. God will deal out to every one his just reward, it's not our business to judge people.
However, it is our business to defend those who can't defend themselves. Go to the children's memorial at Yad V'shem, the holocaust museum in Jerusalem, then tell me you're in favor of abortion. The parents of those children would give anything to have them back, and here we are killing ours voluntarily. The only difference between a fetus and a baby is that one is outside of the womb: the one is just as much alive as the other.
By the way, I believe that if someone kills a pregnant mother he is charged with two counts of murder, one for the mother and one for the baby, so how can we sanction the murder of the baby simply because a doctor does it? Whether or not you want the baby doesn't change the fact that it's alive.

Mother: Manslaughter (a lesser than murder... the reality of the crime). Maybe a reduced time sentence, since emotionally, she's screwed up already. Like a year in jail and the rest of ten years probation for the first offense. Counseling if necessary. AND of course with the record, no chance of being a foster home, daycare, or adoption home EVER.
Doctor: Lose medical license forever. Between year and ten combination jail and probation. No chance of foster home, adopting, etc.

The Doctor is suppose to save lives not kill.AOD is getting way out of hand. 3500 babies are murdered everyday. WHY? Mainly because people don't care enough about themselves or the life of others. There are plenty of birth control avenues,Why do they get pregnant then kill the baby? They don't have any morals. If a woman gets an abortion just because she got pregnant from a night of having fun,then they should take the crib and leave the playpen because any woman who would kill her own child don't deserve to have another baby!

I don't necessarily think punishment. However I do believe if you have an abortion you should allow the dr. to tie your tubes until you are ready to have children.
If it is outlawed then back alley abortions are punishment enough for the female. The dr would have their licensed revoked and spend time in prison.

As we all know that aborting a baby is like your murdering someone. I think that girls that are aborting their babies, they diserve a punisment, but not a bigger one.
i also beleive that is non of who evers business rather if you want an abortion or not, it is not their baby. But just a little advice to girls that are planing to have an abortion, please let that baby your carring a chance to see this world. But if you dont want the baby, just dont abort her just give her a chance, then maybe you can put her/him up for an adobtion.
