Would it be better career-wise to get a Master's in International Conflict Resolution at an online school like American Military University, or get a graduate certificate at Georgetown University (on campus)?

The reputation a school has will determine the value of your degree or certificate. In that respect I would say, go with Georgetown.

Well, that's great! What an interesting and good story. You should write a book about it someday! By the way, who are you going to give best answer to? The person who liked your story the most? LOL... Just kidding. Anyway, that story is an inspiration to all those out there who feel like they are nobody or anyone who is going through tough situations or rough times. Just believe in yourself, have perseverance, and work hard and you can achieve the life you want and someday gain the respect that everyone is entitled to (but unfortunately not everyone receives) Thanks for sharing :) ~~~~ Edit: I forgot to share my story! Well, in high school I was the quiet smart girl who only had a few close friends. Many people I found in my school were immature and were throwing their lives away (getting wasted, getting high, partying, etc.) and because I didn't engage in that behaviour, I was left out many times. Graduated with flying colours and NOW I am in post-secondary education and I am loving it. I've found many friends that share the same interests (no boyfriend yet, though. Heh heh)... so YES, I am very happy to have graduated from high school and I am thankful for the experience. Lots of memories, goos and bad but it's over now and I'm in a new chapter of my life :)
