Sure,
$3.75 is about $4
$25.50 is about $26
$17.23 is about $17
So, the front-end estimate is $4+$26+$17 or $47

I'm not sure what "Front End Estimation" is, but it looks like your teacher wants you to estimate the total:

$3.75 is about $4
$25.50 is about $26
$17.23 is about $17

The total then would be about $47.

Or, you could leave the middle value = $25.50, and your total would be about $46.50.

Hope this helps.

The idea of a front-end estimate is to find a quick, (very) approximate range for your answer, so that when you actually perform the operations, you have some idea of the accuracy of your answer.
$3.75 is close to 0
$25.50 is close to $30
$17.23 is close to $20
The sum is close to $50
You can refine it somewhat by:
$3.75 is close to $4
$25.50 is close to $26
$17.23 is close to $17
The sum is close to $47
You can refine the estimate once more in this case before you are actually performing the addition itself:
$3.75 is close to $3.80
$25.50 is close to $25.50
$17.23 is close to $17.20
The sum is close to $46.50
The actual sum is, of course, $46.48

Note that the "third" refinement requires more steps than the actual addition.

$3.75 + $25.50 + $17.23 is approximately

$4 + $25 + $15 or $44

Maybe $45?

$3.75 is approx=$4
$25.50 is approx=$26
$17.23 is approx=$17
adding up
the estimate is 4+26+17=$47

To each their own method. I like to spot the numbers that will add up to a nice multiple of ten. So very quickly I see 3+17=20, plus 25 gives 45.
