what am i to do with my modem i cant get online it still does everything else as far as saving things and play movies and music, but it wont get online is it time for another one or can it be fixed (compac)

it'd be difficult to answer your question since there is a great deal of information missing like:
1) your ISP
2) the error you receive / or indication that something isn't working
3) Type of PC you have
4) If your PC even recognizes your modem
5) did it work before - or is this a new modem that's never worked?
....
I'd recommend you start with a call to your ISP

Your modem ?? or your PC ?? Well , if you are reffering to your pc , well yes its time to get a new one , cause right now most of the sites , surf and connection to servers are done in high speed internet

I do not understad your question, you say you can play movies with your modem?? that's simply not possible!!

umm how are you submiting this ? if you cant get online? how old is this pc try if it has xp to disable and re enabling it through my newtwork connections email me if you need farther help
