ITS 2 degrees outside and we are having a blizzard!! i work at a bead store and WHY ARE WE OPEN?!?!?! who the hells going to buy beads in this weather?!?! my emergency brake froze on my car, i spent 45 mins throwing hot water on my tires to be 2 hours late to work in a blizzard and got yelled at about it!! WTF IS WRONG WITH THE WORLD?!?!?!

Sorry you have had so much grief with the cold weather.

Well, winter usually does bring cold weather and not knowing where you are, would give us a clue as to why, but I bet forecasters did give a hint that it might be that way.

The earth is tilted, and in the winter, it's tilted away from the sun, which "stretches out" then sun's rays, spreading the energy over a wider area, and that means it's colder. In the summer the suns rays are more concentrated and it gets warmer.

And of course, it's really cold at the north pole where there is NO sun in the winter, and sometimes that cold air flows down to YOU and YOU get cold!

Well Emily it is because of your location, where you live, some states, areas of location may be closer to water Oceans Mountains, Trees ect... Where as some locates states are not they may get equal of Sun if not much less rain ect... Some persons when they find that they are tied of the cold they move to a warmer location or visit a warmer place until they decided to go back to their cold area.
