The new prison statistics came out today. It showed that 1 out of ever 13 black men are in prison or on parole. Why is this figure so High? Why do blacks make up over 50% of the prison population, and only 20% of the general population? I cannot find any good scientific sources that explain this. Please give me some insight.

My guess is they commit the most crimes. Why else would it be so high?

Covert racism. Plus the history. If I put all of your ancestors in bondage and denied them education the entire time, then I freed your grandmother and said, get it together. How likely is it that you would come out of that ok? There was a system of control that was implemented by white slave holders. This system was designed to be self replicating in that the parents would teach their offspring to be good slaves. There are also less opportunities for black people. I have seen it first hand. The businesses will usually meet their quotas by hiring black people to support roles never giving them any real power. No place is this more evident than the trading floors of our biggest exchanges. Look up pictures of the NYSE. You will see mostly white traders and mostly black support staff, key punchers, runners, other lower jobs. Another fact that proves that blacks are still suffering under the slave mentality is their tendency to avoid hurting or offending whites. The crime remains in the black community. Now if these people were acting of their own volition given how obvious the suffering that has been experienced under whites, don't you think they would be raping and pillaging white communities on a regular basis? Why don't they? Because they are still being trained to be the way they are.

If they didn't commit the crime they wouldn't be there now would they.
The percentage does not reflect why it is so.
It just shows the numbers.
If there were scientific resources to explain the numbers they would be called racist. This question has been around for a long time.
It is just the same as 1% of the world's population controls almost 15% of the wealth.
Just numbers.
