I am doing a research paper on the Chinese New Year and how they celebrate it but i cant really think of a thesis statement. I have already wrote the rest of my paper and its mainly about the different stuff they do to prepare for the hoilday and the hoilday itself.

The title should be the last thing to write why because the content will lead the name of the thesis, nevertheless some peopel think about the title in first place...is like putting a name to a baby that is going to be born.

I will say: "Multiculturalism in China" and if is an hypothesis you need a question such as: "what are the differences between western and oriental traditions?", or "how celebrations help link souls around the world", or "the role of Chinnesse culture in America", etc.

You could try to come up with something involving what they celebrating and why( the reason behind Chinese new Year) combined with how long it takes to prepare for it.

Thesis statement: How the Chinese government has failed to overcome the transit problem for its citizens every Chinese New Year holiday, and the consequences to the health of the populace due to the government's unwillingness to build proper infrastructure and facilities.

How about something like "Tradition, practice and it's meaning through symbolism of the authentic Chinese New Year" or something along those lines.
