The grass is greener on the other side theory.
On the other side the grass always looks greener.
Once you get there you realize the grass isn't as green anymore; as a-matter-of-fact you come to realize that the grass from where you came is a lot greener.

"It's not the kill, it's the thrill of the chase!"

Some people just aren't meant to be happy or pleased, always wanting what they don't have.

"It's not having what you want, it's wanting what you have!"

I think alot of people just aren't mature enough to truly want a soulmate or best friend, guess that makes them a little greedy or selfish but it's the American way, so it seems!

People are greedy and want for the sake of having and to look good to others. Its called the need for greed! People dont know how tro be content with what they have. They are searching for something that they dont know where to find. When they find God, they find everything!

Because like you said it's something they couldn't have. it's like a kid that wants a certain toy and they beg their parents for it and as soon as they get it they throw it away or break it and then they want something else. sometimes people want things they don't need and sometimes when they get what they want they don't no what to do with it

Usually when they want that something, it is simply because they want it that makes it seem so wonderful.

Then when they finally get it, they see that it's not exactly what they thought it was.

Afterall, before they have it, they don't know exactly how it is. Their desire for it distorts what it really is. It probably has something to do with our psychology.

Having is not always so pleasing a thing as wanting. It is not logical, but it is often true
