Christmas is supposed to be a happy time yet, every year, it throws me into a major crying, depressed mood- anyone else like that and do you have any thoughts on how to overcome it? PS - and dont say see a psych cause I do.

my favorite christmas song is have yourself a merry little christmas. what can i say.. i'm just a depressed person. how to overcome it? play the cheerier music and dance like no one's watching!! :) act like a fool and just have fun even if it's just you dancing all alone. it can be really fun. just try to focus on all the good things about christmas.

Everything about Christmas depresses me. The songs, commercials, gift giving, lights, etc...... I drive down the road and see all these light displays and all I can think is, just think how many people in this country that could benefit from what these light displays cost. I guess that it is not Christmas that depresses me, but all the commercialization. Christmas is all about money these days and not the birth of the baby Jesus.

It makes me cry, but that's because I absolutely LOVE hearing Christmas music. I don't get sick of it, either.
Did you know that Christmas is a very difficult time emotionally for millions of people. Almost all of us have lost a loved one, and if Christmas is important to you, those special people are remembered this time of the year.
My mom died on Dec 30, so I cry almost on a daily basis during the whole month of December, but she loved xmas, and so do I.
It never gets any easier (we lose more and more people as time goes by), but maybe some of your tears are happy ones, too?
