Yes....

I have owned reptiles that were aggresive to others but not me. Where they aware of me as their food source or did they just like and trust me? I like to think it was the latter.

All of my constrictors are huggers so they must feel love, eh?

As some of these answers clearly show, people have a bad habit of assuming their pets are just like them and that they experience the same emotions. Reptiles, especially snakes, do not experience emotions and they sure in the heck don't love their owners. All they want is to be fed and they don't have an emotional attachment to their owners. I have hundreds of reptiles and not a single one could care less about me. This applies to all reptiles. As long as their needs are met, they are content. And to "J M', your answer just proved to me that you are truly insane, which I already suspected.

I doubt it. They say if you cut open the average snake's skull, you wouldn't even be able to find its brain because it's so small. All it has room for is instinct. Nothing against reptiles, I have 2 snakes and 3 geckos and I think they're all wonderful, but I've never seen any indication that they know me as anything but a sign that food is coming.

No at all ! Reptils do not feel love like dogs for example....for that reason, it is not a good idea to have reptils as pets, couse they get stress when people touch them !
Reptils do not play as dogs or cats do ! A snake would never play with you couse you are a stranger for its....

I really love reptils and i cannot stand seeing people buying them like sweets !.....or selling them without caring anything !
Please do not buy or sell exotics animals anymore !
They need being in their house...not in yours !
Thanxs a lot !

Probably yes no matter how old they are. Since I feed mine and take care of it very well it won't bite me and also I can kiss it on the mouth without it opening its mouth.

I think that they learn to accept their human parents. They become accustomed to us holding and touching and petting them. I think they have some sort of affection, but im not sure if it is love.

Not really. They have instincts, so they mate with each other and take care of their eggs. But can't love people, if that's what you're asking.

YES how do you think they reproduce. They don't go after just any mate they find one they actually wanna mate with. and they feel love for thier owners otherwise they would bite or kill thier owners.
