I think it depends on the size of your water heater, the age of it, and how much hot water you use. I have a 2 year old 30 gal. tank and it costs about 15 a month to run and I do laundry, dishwasher, showers, you know, the usual. You may want to call your local electric company because they can give you a more accurate figure.

There is no way to determine this with out a recording meter attached to every appliance in your home

on my bill it tells you , most times it about 30%
