How do I go about getting a poem published???

I wrote a poem that is really good. I showed it to some family members and they all think it's great and that I should get it published.
I wrote it about my little girl.

you can publish on the net in a number of places, like www.gather.com for example. If you want it in a magazine or anthology, you'll need a copy of Poets Market- you start sending it in and see if anyone accepts it.

Usually the publishing houses like to publish a compilation of poems. So it is better if you continue to write and submit several poems at once as a book. If you wrote the first one, the inspiration will continue to come. Besides checking in your local library for a directory of publishing houses, get some poems books. Check the publishing house for those books and read the poems, that always help with the writing and inspiration.

Go to the library and get a book called Writer's Market. It tells you where you get send your articles, stories, poems, etc. There is also a book called Poet's Market. If you library doesn't have either book, you can buy them on amazon.com.
