Complement angles equal 90 degrees, therefore

90 = larger (x) + smaller (x-25)

90 = x + x - 25

90 = 2x - 25 (add 25 to both sides)

90 + 25 = 2x or 115 = 2x

divide both sides by 2

x = 57.5 degrees (larger angle)

smaller angle = larger angle - 25

smaller = 57.5 - 25 = 32.5 degrees

Answer 32.5 degrees

Let x = the angle, then 90-x is the complement
x = (90-x) - 20 = 70-x
2x = 70
x = 35 degrees

x=[(90-x)-20]
x=90-x-20
2x=70
x=35*
