well, I don't know of a way to get rid of it, if you're still gonna smoke in it... you can use tings like Arm and Hammer carpet Freshener to help obsorb some of the odor. And put cedar savings in your drawer where your clothes are... put coffee beans in a small container close to your bed and it'll help obsorb the odor too... If people smoke in your house and you don't, keep your bedroom door closed as much as possible, and that will also help with the odor.. I smoke, but, I don't do it in my house. Just outside.

Febreeze on all fabrics and lysol air odor eliminator, or the newer product I think is called odor. Then put your foot down and tell them to have some respect and go outside to smoke or not to bother coming by at all, it is your house and the owner should be respected.

Make them smoke outside. Stick to it. Rewash everything. If you have carpet, you might want to shampoo it, if you have floors, mop. And clean everything.....even your walls. This is the best way to get it out. And buy tons of Glade Oil Warmers. They have many great scents to choose from.
A fresh house is great to walk into. Smoker's house is just disgusting!

My husband and I both smoke in our home so I open the windows on weather permitting days, clean my house good once a week, use candles,& wash curtains and fabrics once a month. People always tell me my house smells good so I guess it works!

Kick the smokers out!! Then wash everything - the walls, the curtains and cushions. Try spraying "Frebreeze" on anything that can't be washed then never let another person light up in your home again. Hubby and I both smoke but outside.

both my husband and i smoke, but after having everywhere freshly painted i instilled a rule of NO smoking in the house. We now go outside (as do any friends that come over) its also helped in making us cut down on smoking as neither one of us want to go outside to smoke when its cold and rainy.

tell people to smoke outside, that's what I would do...or go to the basement or patio or something
Also, try spraying with Oust spray, which is awesome...do it when they are in the house (not near open flame, of course) maybe they will get the hint...
Open a few windows and Febreze, Febreze, Febreze...
Scented Candles are a help
Throw everything washable into the wash...
Stand up for your space and tell them to smoke elsewhere is the most important thing...
