Those of you defending Kerry - consider this, please. The man has been speaking in a professional manner for over 30 years. Do you honestly think that he can't read speeches by now? The written speech included the words, "like Bush" and I don't buy for a second that a career politician would make a "mistake" like that. He said what he feels. Look back at the lies he told about the military back in the 70s - this is a habitual thing for him. Kerry - and Kennedy - are elitist snobs who actually encompass many of the qualities the left claims to hate. I don't understand the blind devotion to these men.
If a Republican had made that "mistake", you guys would be screaming for blood.

Neither Kerry nor Rangel have insulted our troops. If you had bothered to read Kerry's comments (released in to the press before his speech) you would see what the joke was supposed to be and how obvious it is that it was aimed at the President. Rangel actually payed tribute to the troops when he presented his proposal for a draft. Argue if you wish but the truth is there are a majority of lower income folks in the enlisted ranks.
For those like yourself that prefer to keep repeating and bleating the party lines they hear you will never be aware of these facts. You will keep asking the same inane questions over and over and over again. Eventually you folks are going to get real lonely. The rest of us are moving on.

Democrats have a face they show the public, We saw their true thoughts with Kerry's "joke". They pretend to fight for the the common man but truly they insult them by saying that the common man needs their help.

Why do people ask ignorant questions? If you actually bothered to look into Kerry's comments, you'd know that he wasn't insulting the troops. It was a lame, botched joke. That's it.
My question to you, "Why do so many republicans distort what democrats actually think? To create straw men to attack so they can feel better about themselves, or just because they're so far removed from reality that they can't help it?"

It's not really the troops that are being insulted, it's the fat, comfortable, safe, corrupt government officials who sent them there under false pretenses. Thanks.
