Old wive's tales say a lot of things. Boys carry lower and out front, girls carry higher and on the hips. Boys have a faster heartbeat in the womb. I'm not an old wife, so I don't know many. However, the thing to remember is, they're about 50/50, since there's only two outcomes.

If you carry high your gonna have a girl, if you carry low it will be a boy. Your wife can take her wedding ring, tie it to a string and hold it over her belly. If it turns clockwise it's a boy, counter-clock wise a girl. If she looks in a mirror and pulls down the bottom part of her eye she should find a vein that is "V" shaped, if it is in the left eye it is a boy, right eye a girl. I have also heard that is she is pregnant and another little baby boy will not go to her for anything and is very fussy, she will have a boy. Something about the testosterone. They are all false. I asked my doctor. He said none of that is 100% accurate. Take me for example. I had sex the day of ovulation (the only day that cycle I had intercourse). I have a baby girl. Each time you get pregnant you have a 50/50 chance of a boy or girl. And the chinese gender chart said I'd have a boy. Well it was wrong! HAHA Good luck to you!

High and all around for a girl, low and out front for a boy- the wedding ring on a piece of string thing, incidence of morning sickness, which way your pillow points.... there are a zillion. The Chinese gender calendar is pretty neat, we did that (it was wrong). Also, I am carrying my daughter low and out front, like a basketball.... go figure! Good luck!

If your carrying high, it's a girl, low- it's a boy. If the heart rate is high at your first visit, it's a girl, low- it's a boy.

tie a ring to a light piece of string (like kite string or dental floss) and lay on your back..have someone hold the string over your belly with the ring weighing the string down...hold very still...if the string goes back and forth..its a boy..if the string goes in circles its a girl...I never believed in stuff like this but my mom and I were talking and we were like ok..lol why not try it...the string moved in circles...two weeks later I got a sonogram..and guess who is having a baby girl lol good luck

If the wife is feeling cold most of the times, it's a girls. If she's feeling warm, it's a boy.

if the man does all of the work (during sex), then it's a girl...vice versa for the woman doing all of the work. high for girl, low for boy.

You just never know.....Chinese calender told me I was having a girl...but I'm having a BOY!
