that's a little open ended. If you mean attempting to get a book deal with a major publisher, it's a long process and not very easy. First off, depending on the genre of your story, you may want to investigate smaller publishers that handle similar work to what you are writing. Find out what their submission procedures are. It's better that you are prepared and follow procedures rather than just shipping things out blindly and hoping for the best.

Another route in the meantime would be to consider self-publishing. Check out companies like www.lulu.com as an option.
