Friendship is something you have to put hard work, effort, understanding and patience into. In order to have friends (good ones) you need to ask yourself "how good of a friend am I" / Why would someone want to be my friend? / What do I have to offer? / What do I need in a fellow friend?. How you answer these questions can help you find out why you don't or do have friends.

In today's world finding a true real life long friend, is almost imposable. People today are so involved in themselves and the none important things in their lives such as a true friend, that they go through friends without thinking about the feelings they hurt and the people that would maybe have been a life long friend, bumped to the side like they would their trash! I would like to know the answer to the same question myself, I have had friends far and between, they tell you what you want to hear and come to you home and make you feel so safe in the friendship relationship, and then for some reason something or someone else comes along and then your not so important anymore, they slowly stop being the person you knew. Loosing a friendship is a hard thing to get over; so I wish to you the best in finding yourself a true friend. And if do, remember my ID and tell me how things work out. Good luck...I wish you the best!!!

Everyone is to self-centered to care about anyone else these days. They don't care how many ppl they hurt as long as they are happy. I personaly have 3 true friends and I have been friends with them for bout 5 years now and I have not been able to make new friends lately. I wish ppl could be more caring.Thats really the only thing I can think of

It's not hard, you just have to use good judgement when choosing your friends. Friends can come in different ages. So just don't sociate with people around your age but expand your horizon's. I'm 24 and I have friends that are 15 years old and I have friends who are 50 years old. Of course I have friends around my age, but all I'm saying is you can learn alot from different people. Because I have a good mixture of friends I feel like I'm more of a well rounded person.

someone wise once told me thatwhen youre on your death bed youd be lucky to count all yourreal friends on one hand.
to answer youre question, its because MOST people are wrapped up only with themselves. my family has infact been the same way. i thinkpeople are just way too self absorbed and take human relationships for granted. loyalty, is infact a hard trait to find, but it is out there. good luck

Go to places wher eboth of you would have things in common.Example: you love books, CHAPTERS store. You have to weed out the bad and keep the good. Just never keep around a backstabbing, lying, deceiving friend.

first of all - you have to find real people......not many of those left...maybe you should get out more....have some fun, you wont be able to help from meeting people...who knows somewhere in the crowd might be your best friend waiting for you to find them...

The attitude of society has changed. . . it's all about looking out for #1 and most people will screw everyone and anyone they know to get what they want.

Because you're too picky, and you're trying too hard. Friends are gonna be screwed up, stupid people. All of them. Stop "rating" them - and just sit back and let it happen.
