1) kill Bush's 2004 "guest worker" program
2) enforce immigration laws
3) regulate trade to communist countries, by increasing tarrifs on imported goods from them, to give our manufacturers a fighting chance to compete.
4) give walmart the ma'bell treatment
5) federalize oil companies, so the money can fund our government so all income taxes can be completely done away with without cutting program that help people. this will also destroy the strian that high gas prices has on the economy.
6) make abuse of government programs thought of as worse than smoking a joint. By increasing caseworkers, and law enforcement that investigates these matters.
7) decriminalize, regulate, and tax the heck out of naturally occuring drugs so they aren't any more of a problems than cigarrette smoking, and don't fund terrorism like opium does.
want to truely win the war on drugs and terror? regulate the drugs, destrying their marketability, and that destroys income for terrorists!, while crating jobs in the USA.
8) Fund more education
and the unemployment rate of an average of 5% is basically gained by the number of new claimes being approved, vs population. drug addicts and people who can't work are usually collecting disabilty, very few are collecting unemplyment, so i find it unlikely that a person working for the department of labor made the statment above about being hard to get it below 5% because of drug addicts and other people that can't work.

What most people don't understand is that government barely effects unemployment. Since the economy is ever moving thing, if it's ever gets set back (by 9/11 for example) it may take some time but it will eventually recover and the unemployment rate will reduce.

Dont let companies hire illegal immigrants,Make it easier for people to start their own companies.Get real teachers in schools ,smaller class sizes and make college more affordable for everyone.Maybe also use the money in the treasury to fund more efficient things like healthcare , grants ,etc. instead of invading a country spending billions of dollars and ruining millions of lives including the lives of the soldiers and their families.

Provide universal health care in the U.S. so employers don't have to. Organize labor worldwide so U.S. workers don't have to compete with sweat shops. Start taxing the U.S. rich again and use the money for education, training and the restart of American manufacturing. IMHO.

At this time we have full employment at 4.4% we can't really go any lower, a person in human resources once told me about 5% of the American workforce are unemployable because of alcohol and drug abuse and would not be able to pass any test.

Fifty percent of our country is closed off from development, which would create high-paying jobs. The environmentalists are phony rich kids who want to keep us in our place. They put on a moralistic costume to cover up their class warfare.

I agree with tax cuts.
The fastest way to grow businesses(ie create jobs) is to put money into the hands of individuals who will then spend or save.
If they spend, they grow businesses by increasing demand for the businesses, which causes the business to hire more workers.
If they save, they grow businesses by increasing businesses access to capital, which makes it cheaper for the business to grow, again creating jobs.

Tax cuts and deregulation. High taxes and high regulation steal money and jobs out of the economy. Stop stealing from the economy and it will work itself out.
