It varies by school, but usually 60 to 66.

In the state of Michigan, you need at least 64 credit hours for an Associates Degree, and of course there's a bunch of required courses that you must have taken and passed as well (you know, the general education stuff like speech, composition, math, science, etc.)

in illinois its 62 credit hours

60 was the requirement at my schools.
