Yes I had a Baby Shower with all of my kids for the following reasons:

1.) It was my 1st baby.
2.) I didn't have any of my baby stuff left.
3.) I was having a boy this time.

It's tacky to have a baby shower for each child. You should really only have a baby shower for your first child because you are just starting off. If you are on you 2nd and 3rd child, well you should have the majority of you stuff from previous baby(ies). It really is a personally choice, if you want to throw or if someone wants to throw you one, then go right ahead. Remember you'll get all the necessities when people visit you in the hospital (pj's, diapers, bids...)

I have to say that I was thrown 3 baby showers. My first was a girl and then my family wanted to throw a 2nd one 2 years later because I was having a boy. I got rid of all of my baby things and then I found out I was pregnant with my 3rd child ( 2nd son). My neighbors wanted to throw me a shower. Now a days I think it doesn't matter how many showers you have. I hate to say this but we women love to throw and go to parties.

My sister, pregnant with her 3rd, only had a shower for the first one. However, 2 women at work, both having their 3rd, both had a shower. If I lived near my sister I would definatley throw one for her. I think each pregnancy deserves one.

Standard etiquette is that you have a baby shower for your first child only. It is possible to have a 2nd if the first and 2nd child are born several years apart.

Yes, I had one with my first. And they are planning another for my second. It really depends. Like if you had a girl the first time and now you are having a boy. Or if the babies are far apart and you don't really have much of that stuff anymore.

My mom had one with her first and "baskets" with her other 2. Just one shower though. Depends on the person though. Everyone wants to give me a shower. But that's up to them. I want it to be a surprize. :)

yes I had them with both of mine which was nice cause I didn't have a thing for my newborn because I wasn't expecting to have another kid so I gave away all my baby stuff to those who needed it...my kids are four years apart. I didn't plan either....someone else surprised me with my second.
