Nope, once you remove your hand from your piece after a move is made, you cannot take it back.

Try to look ahead, imagine you're the opponent. Predict what move would be their next move? This way you can try to head off disaster before it strikes. (By doing this, you will eventually be a controlling influence on the board, other wise you're just reacting to every move your opponent makes.)
