Ah, the inevitable question asked by everyone who has lived long enough to ask the important question of “Who am I?”
Are we products of generations gone by, forever doomed to make the same mistakes and missteps of our ancestors? Or are we individual souls capable of throwing off years of upbringing to make our own path through the dark forest of life? Are we recycled souls always failing to remember lives gone by or are we fresh cannon fodder to send into the meat grinder of daily existence? Have we evolved or are we created? Is our destiny our own to direct, or the machinations of Fate?
I for one feel that we will always be the products of the people who spawned us, but only in small doses. We consciously and unconsciously carry on the lessons our parents taught us, taking lessons from both mom and dad. Our parents before us took lessons (both good and bad) from their parents, and so forth. We are also taught new lessons in our lives through experience, which we pass on to our children as well. In essence, we were taught how to live by a mixture of several motivations.
Are we exactly like our ancestors before us? The answer is no. We have so many influences especially in our current media-saturated world. We are bombarded with images from around the world on television. With the internet, have so much information at our fingertips, it’s laughable. This is a truly different era then our ancestors could ever imagine.
Do we share a little in common with those that came before us? Absolutely! But we are different in many ways then just the clothes on our backs; we are a new era, a new mentality, and a new and scary form of knowledgeable.
Does Socrates want some of this?

no, i think there is apart of ourselves, call it our spirit or soul, that is just ours,,,,,, so that, combined with what we inherit, is who we are
also, our ancestors, while having different combinations of our genes, never had exactly ours,,,,,, so neither their looks nor mentality was the same
add to all that, the influence society has upon someone,,, this age and time is unique in that it hasnt happened/will not happen, again , in exactly the same way ,,
so while yes, we are part of our ancestors,,,,, and may be very similar to a few of them,,,, unless we think we were in our ancestor pool and reincarnated into the same family, then no ,, we are not just in different clothes,,,,

If you are talking about human beings; I have read somewhere that you folks (I think I am addressing human beings in this forum) haven't changed a lot (unless you are talking about the prehistoric times, during which you were more like chimps)..but I am not very sure about it, as it is purely a hearsay (as you might be aware that I started living (read, spreading) among you folks at most 50 years or so!).....Alas, I could have lived my lives the same way..i.e. without changing much.....but unfortunately, I will have to mutate to become something else...only God knows, what!

i'm getting the place you're coming from. I attend a private college too and so i'm consistently attempting to tell my mum and dad that "everybody has clothier outfits" and of direction they say "i doubt everybody has them." so for starters do no longer use the "everybody has them" line. i be attentive to it sort of looks like this is going to artwork, even though it won't. ok UGGs are a reliable place to start on account that they at the instant are not as extreme up as channel and gucci. merely tell your mum and dad which you're a reliable baby who works difficult and needs some thing super. clarify to them that the clothing you purchase at objective and A&F rip fairly actual and additionally you desire some thing which will final longer...saving them extra income the top. merely remember to think of out each thing you will say and don't lose your temper. attempt saving your funds to purchase some super stuff too. reliable success! PrincessN p.s. i accept as true with you--hollister and a&f are SOOOO a techniques from clothier. the real stuff is marc jacobs, juicy, channel...

No, the people that live about a 100 thousand years ago were much less inteligent - their brain was smaller and they looked totally like monkies! I wonder how much more different the people in another million years are gonna be different from us...
