The Enlightenment Road

2006-11-30 15:21:54 · answer #2 · answered by teddy bear 3 · 0 1

There is no road to enlightenment.

There is no trail,

There is no path.

True enlightenment is difficult, if not impossible to obtain. There are no clear ways to that destination or else there would be more people who gain it. I took a brief and casual search through the internet for the word ‘Enlightenment’ to see if such a thing could be gained easily. I found approximately 13,500,000 different web sites who spoke of different forms of the word. Now tell me how 13,500,000 different sites can be right?

The cold hard truth is there is no right answer that we as a society know. True enlightenment would take lifetimes to achieve, and lifetimes yet to understand fully. It would mean abolishing all our preconceived notions of right and wrong, black and white, nationality and identity. It would mean releasing ourselves from the shackles of our parent’s teachings, and the oppressive rule of common sense.

True enlightenment is a cost too high for us to pay…and just like a combo rocket car and Orange Julius machine that makes fresh burgers and turns bears into gold, it’ll be out of this world’s budget for a long time.

You can travel only a tiny fraction of the roads that are available.. . You can travel the roads for your whole life, trying to find your destination, trying to reach the end of the roads.
When you decide to stop walking and start noticing things that have been there all along, like yourself and your environment, you will find meaning.
When you realize that all the roads are loops, and that it doesnt matter which one you follow, you will never reach the end, then you will have reached the end.
That is enlightenment.

What I'm saying is that it's internal, not something out in the world that you have to go find. You generate enlightenment inside your mind.

that, which you choose..The question is not which road, the question is in which condition to travel. World you live in must be renounced. That movement has nothing to do with denial and has nothing to do with judgment....in fact denial and judgment must be released long before . Remember , religions are of this World. All the beliefs also of this World we live in...Any chosen road is a single path and needs to be done solo.True journey begun when all the beliefs you holding ceased only Faith remain. Only factor which makes destination possible . Embodiment of a Faith and no additional luggage of any kind and ...good luck.

The road without stop signs, traffic lights, speed limits, scenery, signs, bends, turns, traffic, intersections, avenues, forks, etc. Going down the road at top speed (however fast your vehicle can go) toward a dead-end that never arrives. All you see in front of you is road. All you see behind you is road. You're going so fast you can't tell whether you're moving or not, other than from the guages inside. Unlimited gas. No limits whatsoever.

all roads eventually lead to enlightenment of some sort but it might only be the realization that it's not the road you want to be on.

According to the poet William Blake, "The road of excess leads to the palace of wisdom."

Either that, or to an early grave, I suppose.

A journey of a thousand miles must begin
with a single step.”

Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.
