Ladies- what would you do if you were stuck in a really bad traffic jam and badly needed to go to the bathroom?
Would you try and hold it in?
Or go to the bathroom in a cup or a bottle inside your car?
Or relieve yourself on the side of the road or behind your car door?
Or would you get out of your car, try and find a bathroom, and then walk back to your car?

I actually was in this situation. It was terrible.
I was on I70 in St Louis, and I had just gone to Wendy's. I bought one of those Biggie Iced Teas, and drank it down while driving.
Just as I was finishing it, I hit a patch of traffic. I had no idea how bad it was. A truck full of motors had crashed and there were engines all over the road.
It took 2 hours to move ONE mile.
I thought I was going to DIE. I got so upset. I vowed I would sue the State of MO for not giving passengers a way off the highway.
I thought my bladder would burst. Really...burst, and I would end up in the hospital. I was just at the point where I thought about trying to pee in a cup in my pickup truck, but big semis kept on pulling up on my right, and I am pretty private.
It was a major dilemma for me. Finally, the traffic started moving, and there was an exit a mile or so down the road, and the only service there was a teeny gas station with one unisex bathroom. You wouldn't believe how many people were in line to use that bathroom!
So, yes, I tried to hold it in, and was successful, but with so much suffering. I learned my lesson not to drink so much liquid at one time. I had really chugged it fast, and lots of it.

I gotta tell a story about a woman on her 1st date with a guy & she needed to go to the bathroom. They had gone skiing but there was a blizzard when they were going home. She had to go to the bathroom badly so he stopped the car, she got out to pee but took so long that he got out of the car to see if anything was wrong. She had used the car to balance her & her butt was stuck to the car. She couldn't move. So they had an unique way of solving the problem; he peed on her butt & car! And she was free. They couldn't stop laughing & continued to date each other. True story. I think it was on Letterman or Leno; I don't remember which.
In a traffic jam, I would leave the car & look for a bathroom. Yuk to the cup in a car! Not easy for a woman. Not want to get pee on my clothing. If we're talking traffic jam using side of the road with my luck I'd get a ticket for indecent exposure.

Well I would be swearing at the traffic jam and I would try to hold it in til I got to an exit. Maybe even cross my legs to help ease the discomfort. Then find an exit to get into a restaurant and use their potty.

If a women is going to pee in a bottle or cup in a heavy traffic jam while sitting on it.
I want to be there and see first hand how they accomplish that little trick.
Especially in a car like a Honda Civic with bucket seats.

Hold it for a while then see if there was a bush or tall grass near by if not I'd look for an old cup or something (bottles just won't work for girls, we may as well pee in our hand) if all of that failed and I really had to go bad enough I would squat next to my car pretending to look under it.
Hell Sash I just say I've got to pee!

I can never understand why Americans refer to 'going to the bathroom' when they mean 'going to the toilet' ~ particularly as there are often no 'toilets in bathrooms' (at least, not in Public places ~ nor in a few homes I've been in on visits over there).
Is there some religious / moral / legal reason for this?
"Hey Mommy. Fido is going to the bathroom"
"Ok Ellen-MayBell-Sue~Child. Just make sure he takes his own towel. And don't let him use my soap, Gawdamit."

I would hold it in for as long as it took to get to a toilet.
It's actually a very good thing to do for a woman as it strengthens the inner muscles.

I would hold as long as I can and then run for the trees or bush. You can only hold for so long, everyone is different. Not good to hold for to long, can cause bladder infections.
