The question should be can Canada keep their country together?

From and American Point of View, Quebec is on the verge of declaring independance (ok maybe on really on the verge)

Which means that over time other parts of that large country are going to want more rights and recognitions.

You may see and INC (Indepentant Nations of Canada) before you see Canada and the US becoming on country.

I hope not. Canada is a beautiful country with sovereign borders, same as America has. I'd like to see it stay the way it is and has been. I like having choices. Throw all the flavors in a blender and you get a bland and boring paste.

No. Canada has enough trouble keeping Canada 1 country.

I don't think so. Both nations have proud histories which defines each country. To let them become one would tear down those qualities which makes them unique. Besides, who would want to give up Canada vs. US hockey games.?

It will NEVER happen! In the far distant future, Canadians may have to migrate south into the U.S. because of the Ice Age but the designated border will still remain.

I don't think so. If it did happen, I hope some of Canada's good qualities would rub off on the USA.

No. It would only complicate things. The only way this is going to happen is when we get a World ruler. I expect that to happen sometime after we have all passed (maybe in the year 5012).

I'm just wondering what the advantage of merging the two would be.

I sure hope not! I like my country just the way it is!

And I'll be taking off with Daniel.....I love my Yucatan neighbours...they've always been berry, berry good to me!

Besides, we'll always have WOODSTOCK baby....make love, not war! :~)
