I'm 34 weeks pregnant & was wondering how many other pregnant women stopped wearing make-up, etc. during pregnancy. Before becomming pregnant, I would wake up extra early to get myself ready-makeup, hair, outfit. Now, I go every day in sweats, no makeup & my hair up in a bun or clip. It's like I've lost interest in my personal appearance. Has anyone else had this experience & did it go away after pregnancy? I want to fix myself up, but have absolutley no motivation to do so...

ABSOLUTELY!!! This is my second pregnancy and I was the same with both... Before pregnancy....I enjoyed looking nice... getting ready a little early to do my makeup and hair just right.. and as the pregnancy progressed I was less and less motivated to so much as brush my hair... :) You're just tired.. and it's hard to move around the bathroom sink with that belly.. I got back into the swing of things really soon after my first son and I am sure that the same will happen again..
Either way I am sure you are beautiful with out all of it.. Being pregnant and a mommy gives you a radiance that you don't have before kids..
Good luck with the baby..

I'm 22 weeks pregnant and I find myself more and more conscious about the way I look. It's not that I'm going to extremes, absolutely not, but
I do wear make up any time I go out - I used to only wear lip-gloss and mascara and now I put on eye-shadow and lipstick (nothing too heavy, however)
I make myself lovely hairdos now - I used to wear a ponytail most often before I got pregnant
I feel better if I dress up.
I think that besides feeling more like a woman :) all those changes have to do with the fact that I started an extra job where appearance is of importance :) Everybody keeps telling me that I look great (most people haven't even realised that I'm pregnant yet and some ask me what's my secret :)
Doing something about your appearance will make you feel better in a feminine sort of way, just do it every once in a while (e.g. nice nail polish, a hairdo :)
Best to you and your baby :)

Well i never wore makeup while I was pregnant. I didn't have any motivation either. I mean go all natural this is supposed to be the time when you glow naturally. It is when you are most beautiful. Why cover that up? I never wanted to get out of my pj's while I was pregnant I just didn't care all the much. But now I am in my old swing of things, I dress up I do my hair and makeup...when I have the time that is. ;)

With my first I definitely stopped worrying about my appearance:) and it went away within weeks after having the baby. I finally felt like I had my body back! and getting to sleep on my stomach again made me feel spunky (lol) and I bought some new outfits, my mom took me to get my hair cut and styled and I got my nails done. It really feels great to finally have that baby and have you to yourself again:) I'm pregnant with number two and I have a job that I have to "dress up" for, so this time it keeps me from looking to much like a slob (although, hubby doesn't get to enjoy, by the time he gets home, I'm in sweats and a t-shirt:) Good Luck!

I find that I wear less, lipgloss and eye shadow and that's it. I did good in the beginning but at the end I was just too tired to do it.
It's part of being a mom :D I'm learning to make myself look nice a lot faster already. I can do my hair and makeup in about 10 min now.

I stopped when I was pregnant , now my kids are 6 and 2 and I still don't do it. I'm too busy taking care of the kids to take care of myself. I'm a stay at home mom so I'm sure if I went back to the workforce that would force me to make myself up again.

Relax, it's normal. You're uncomfortable and you just want it to be over. The last thing you think about is make-up. There is nothing wrong with you. After you have your baby and get into a routine, you will feel better and want to resume wearing makeup and dressing normally. God bless you!

Make yourself do it. You will feel better all over, after the baby is born there will be times you dont have motivation either, but you muster it. You dont have to doll up everyday, go every other day au natural.

I was the same way during all 3 pregnancies. it's hard to feel "sexy" and good lookin when youre huge and retaining water by the minute!! lol
it goes away after.......and if it don't you have to look at yourself in PHOTOGRAPHS that everyone takes of you and the new baby for years to come!!!!
