If your anti "BIG COMPANIES" then use Firefox or Opera9.Both are available for free on the net.As to which is better is a matter of opinion, some sites will only work in IE6 or IE7,and yet Firefox loads pages faster as long as you set it up right. Both now have anti "PHISHING" filters and multiple tabbing .etc.Opera9 is another kettle of fish altogether, this browser has been said to be the fastest and safest out there but its not as simple for the average user out there. There is no problem having all three so you can choose which one you want to use.I know this isn't a straight answer but everyone is different.Just try them all for a week and make up your own mind.Cheers!!!.

Uh...funny you post this in a Yahoo Site. Well, in my opinion Firefox is better. It is smaller, faster, and just more fun to use. But there are still webpages that do not render correctly with it. And there are tons of security vulnerabilities with Firefox as with IE. At this point since IE does now have tabbed browsing it is a matter of preference. If you like light, easy to use programs I would go with Firefox. If you just want it to work, go with IE. It is not Mozilla Explorer by the way. Just Mozilla Firefox

It's a matter of personal preference. Firefox is considered more secure, and I think it runs a lot faster on my pc. The latest version of internet explorer (7) has borrowed features from Firefox, so take that for what it's worth.

You will find that Internet Explorer works with more web pages than Firefox (without a little tweaking on your part). If your pretty good with computers, Firefox is great. If you want the path of least resistance, then you may be happier with IE.

I use them both ;-)

Just in case you want to know, I'm not anti-microsoft, as a matter of fact I like big businesses and my goal is to step on the lazy/poor person that refuses to better himself. However, I know good software when I see/use it; that's why I use Firefox and Opera.

"There are a number of significant vulnerabilities in technologies related to the IE domain/zone...It is possible to reduce exposure to these vulnerabilities by using a different web browser"

first try not to scream. Also since your asking about a browser, maybe you should shut up about saying how companies sucks, because I.E. only works in windows (and maybe in wine inside Linux) thus, there is a chance your using windows. Now, they both have there advantages. If your using xp, then upgrade to i.e.7 and install firefox and use them both. If your using an older windows computer, you might want to which to firefox or opera (opera is faster on windows) for protection.

Firefox is much better. I have no issues with any web site not displaying properly. Also there is a tab function so I do not need to have multiple IE windows open.
Firefox is a little more secure as well. We all know how many security holes are in IE.

Id say windows internet explorer is better. mozilla can be very slow on some computers andd it can be very confusing for some people who are not use to it whereas internet explorer is very easy.

I like IE. And I'm not a microsoft fan, Sites on IE just looks good.
Mozilla and Opera often displays web pages badly.

Now, that's web designers fault, they build their sites "IE Bug friendly"
