There's a guy out there who insists I saved his life. We were LARPing, and I saw him about to step backwards down a steep slope, and I charged full tilt and got there just in time to catch his head before it hit the ground. I was actually a little nervous that I'd messed up his neck, but he was fine. And he claims he'd have died save for my intervention, 'cause he would have hit on some rocks and cracked himself open.
Not sure I believe it, but hey, whatever. I'm a heroine; yay me.

yeah,"somebody" saved the lives of me,my hubby,and 2 young sons(Jr. was13 mo. and Chris was 2 mo.).But it wasn't a person,it was our dog "Kelson".
Thanksgiving morning,1992 a fire started outside our room at my mom-in-law's house.Kelson knew he wasn't supposed to be up on our bed,but that morning,he kept bugging us.When hubby went to turn on the light,the room was full of smoke and hot as hell.He grabbed our 2 boys,used his body to cover them and ran out(doorway was on fire),I ran out after them.By the time we made it to the front yard,we knew Kelson was missing. We never saw him again(he hid under our bed and didn't make it..it was too late)If we had waited 5 more minutes,the flames would have taken Jr. first.

I was really bad on drugs, hooked on t hem and eventually woul have killed myself if I stayed on them. My best friend helped me get off of them and stay off. I guess you coul say he was my hero at the time, but now I only have one hero--Jesus Christ. He has saved me more times than I can count. Car wrecks, mishaps in life, anything i do He is watching over me, always.
