Even though Kobe still has hopefully another 10 years left in him and I think he will get a few more championships before he retires, Jordan is so far the best player EVER because of how he dominated a game on offense AND defense. Kobe, right now, is probably the closest thing to Jordan (and for you Lebron and DWade fans, they're not quite there yet because if their defense) but if you watch the Lakers this year, you will see a different Kobe because he is developing that ONE trait that made Jordan better than him, the ability to make his teammates better. Who else could make Steve Kerr, Luc Longley, Jud Buechler, etc, look like they were worth millions? That's what Jordan did and Kobe is going that route, so right now, purely basketball Jordan is still the best and honestly I don't think you will have anyone who watched Jordan ever say there was anyone better than him because he was the first of his kind.

even however Kobe nonetheless has with a bit of luck yet another 10 years left in him and that i think of he gets some extra championships until eventually now he retires, Jordan is so far the superb participant EVER because of the fact of ways he ruled a game on offense AND protection. Kobe, impressive now, is in all hazard the closest factor to Jordan (and for you Lebron and DWade followers, they do no longer look to be particularly there yet because of the fact if their protection) yet once you watch the Lakers this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, you will see a distinctive Kobe because of the fact he's coming up that ONE trait that made Jordan extra effective than him, the potential to make his teammates extra effective. Who else could make Steve Kerr, Luc Longley, Jud Buechler, etc, appear like they have been particularly worth tens of millions? that's what Jordan did and Kobe is going that course, so impressive now, merely basketball Jordan continues to be the superb and truthfully i do no longer think of you will have absolutely everyone who watched Jordan ever say there exchange into absolutely everyone extra effective than him because of the fact he exchange into the 1st of his variety.

Thats hard because its hard to beat the best. Maybe one day in 1 billion yrs someone could be as good as jordan. But in the mean time if jordan would play again Jordan can definatly beat Kobe.

Are you kidding me? Dwayne Wade or LeBron James has a better chance at being more like "AIR" Jordan then KOBE. BUT there will never be another Michael Jordan, no matter what anybody says. Michael Jordan is one-of-a-kind. No one will ever be like him. Or even close to being like him.

No one can hold a candle to Michael Jordan. His presence on the court increased the appeal of the NBA in the 80's and 90's. He received many, many, awards for his talent and skills as a ball player. He broke many records and created a few of his own. ESPN even named him the " 'greatest athlete of the 20th century' second only to Babe Ruth!' Not only was he very skilled, but he marketed himself like no other sports figure had ever done before him. Not bad for a kid from Brooklyn and a UNC Alum!

Micheal by far, Kobe had Shaq to help him, what has Kobe done since Shaq left.. lets see, he rapped some nasty girl in Denver, and they barley make the playoffs with him, as the leader. Now Micheal had Scotty, but Micheal ran the show, he would of won with out Scotty, he made Scotty great, when Micheal left what did Pippen do? nothing!.. Micheal by far

Because you are even asking such a question, PB, I have to assume you either: (1) Never saw Jordan play ball, or (2) You don't know much about the game....or possibly both...Kobe is not even close to His Airness...never will be

definitely jordan. I disagree that Kobe is the closest thing to Jordan. I would say LeBron is way better than Jordan. Lebron does it all (averaged 30 points, 7 rebs, and 6 ast. last yr.) He is only getting better, and he will be the all time NBA leading scorer when his career is over. He was the youngest ever to 6,000 points when he just turned 21. Right after his 21st b-day, he got 6,000. Thats unbelievable!!! He will also rack up a few championships on the way as soon as Cleveland gives him a sidekick (aka: a "Pippen") to help him. Whats he got now? Drew Gooden? Z? Come on, give me a break. LeBrons better than Jordan, hands down and you people know it.
