I don't get it, aren't latinos the people from Italy?? Mexicans should be called "mestizos" not latinos.

Unless they come from an indigenous bloodline from the Mesoamerican culture, they would most likely be of Spanish decent. So you do have a point since not all Mexicans are of Spanish decent. The Spaniards view themselves as being Latin, just as the Italians, Romanians, French, and Portuguese do.

Wow. You really need to go back to school. People from Italy are called Italians, not Latinos. The word "Latino" comes from the word "Latin," as in people from Latin American countries such as Mexico. It's just a politically-correct term for Hispanic, often applied to Mexicans even when not amid Hispanics from other countries. Apparently the word "Mexican" has become offensive in some sects these days.

mexicans are fine people. until they start expecting entitlements when they are not even citizens. I feel sorry for those who came here years ago, paid attorneys fees for INS hearings, 20 to 30 thousand dollars...and now they are getting in free....what crap....
