why do you have to tell the truth?
i will lie to be funny, or if it serves a purpose. I'll exaggerate the truth to stress my points
e.g. i might persent a false opinion that i think someone is attractive or insightful or clever or whatever, when the truth is I simply don't know!
I think people would be silly to take stuff off yahoo! answers seriously because it's here for people who want to pass the time and enjoy interacting anonymously with other people, this gives us an opportunity to put (some of) our inhibitions aside when we communicate with other people and one of those inhibitions of course has to be an obligation to stay within the realm of fact.
I am jealous of my moral fibre and I would fight to keep it but I am not averse to twisting the truth if it serves some purpose. Yes I sometimes do get kicks from it. But the evidence is there to check I am not malicious: I haven't seen anyone being obviously malicious but if someone follows advice without understanding or verifying it then the fault is as much theirs as the answerers.
But of course there will always be exceptions to that. Some people will always seek to manipulate, extort and abuse.
I prefer to think that the yahoo community is mainly made up of well intentioned individuals who would rather participate and enjoy good feedback than consciously and maliciously overstep the bounds.
But why be so sexist? don't women do it too?

I think you just need to be a bit careful, if your a vulnerable person, with whom you talk to outside of the actual questions. If you're looking for men as friends it's probably not wise to seek them on the Internet but as part of some sort of hobby or interest, so that you find friendship rather than leave your self open to people seeking a quick fix to a hormone problem.

it's across the internet so if you lie to someone you can't get yelled at or slapped or anything.
i can also imagine someone giving fake beauty advice just so they can imagine the person that posed the question breaking up in pimples or wearing horrible make-up and going out looking like a wh*re

Why can't women stop lying? Why can't old people stop lying? Why can't nuns stop lying? Why can't you stop asking generalized questions? Listen, people lie, you said it yourself, who says those are all guys?
And everyone lies, not just especially the men. Perhaps the women are more crafty liers or perhaps not. I hate when people generalize men like that.

I think the problem lies with you. The way you compose questions reflects your personality and your personality attracts liers.
