Not as a kid, to be honest. I'm more scared NOW, (if scared is the right word..sickened may be more apprproate) when I look at certain parts of the Metal scene. I am all for people believing what they want as long as they don't force it on others. But the rampant HATE condoned by a segment of the Black Metal populace (see bands like Burzum) to the Racism of parts of Viking Metal disturbs me deeply. Even more so I am disturbed by the number of kids who blithely latch onto these groups. Bands like Cannibal Corpse and the like I can simply laugh at as the cartoon caricatures they are... and MOST BM and Viking Metal is just as campy in the end, but there is that fringe of it that I really do not like one bit. Anyhow... this isn't some Censorship Watchdog bulletin or anything, just me giving my honest answer to your question.
