Honey, deal with the pain. See a psychologist. If an MD gave this to you, throw it away. They are not trained to diagnose and assist in mental issues, psychologists and psychiatrists are.
Look up a psychologist in the phone book. Make sure they are board certified when you call them up. Set up an appointment and start therapy. Don't throw out the drugs until you talk to them since that CAN have a devistating effect neurologically, particularly if you are under 18 (in that case you shouldn't be on depression drugs anyway). THEN if a psychiatrist or psychologist determines you need drugs, follow their orders. Drugs are necessary sometimes...but only if given and monitered by professionals who are specifically geared toward mental health.
You can do this for yourself as well. Get out and do some yoga. Believe it or not, yoga is a therapy all in itself. I used to be depressed until I started yoga. Anyone can do it, just make sure you have a certified yoga instructor (aka don't just pick up a book and do it, go to a yoga studio). Also, take Alive Multivitamins...they really help me all around.
I am sorry for your loss. Hopefully things will start getting better for you. *hug*

basic melancholy is many times a quick term one off incidence. scientific melancholy is an prolonged extra serious episode of depressive indications, or habitual depressive classes. Bi Polar is a different affliction (and definite all of those are illnesses, they are only illnesses of the suggestions, fairly than actual illnesses like diabetes and maximum cancers etc.). Bi Polar is the place you have some depressive episodes and a few MANIC episodes (it was once noted as manic melancholy). Manic episodes are the choice, you would be feeling euphoric, relatively energetic and satisfied, and think of issues that would look unrealistic at different cases, no inhibitions -do volatile issues and spend up money etc. all of those may well be claimed as disabilities too so a techniques as i understand, because of the fact they impression someone's skill to deal with daily existence.

Your depression and bi-polar disorder are not something to fool around with. Yes, there are homeopathic remedies that can help with MILD depression, but you are seriously into self-mutilation and bipolar disorder makes you dangerous to others. Get professional help first and foremost. I am the natural remedies guru from the get go, but you are dangerous in society when you are here asking for info on natural cures and remedies. Since you don't know anything about these natural medicines and have to ask here, I would never recommend anyone like you going the natural route first. Go to a doctor and follow his recommendation for counseling. Don't delay!
I question the validity of your statement that you are bipolar. That's not a state of mind, that's a physical disorder which has nothing to do with depression. The death of your mom would not "trigger" bipolar medical condition to surface. That's another clue that you really don't know what the issue is with you. Since you don't know what your issues are, you need to be medically evaluated and diagnosed.
Another point is that if your were genuinely bipolar, you wouldn't know there was anything wrong with yourself. Someone else would bring that to your attention - and it wouldn't be pretty.
I don't believe you are suicidal. You cut your wrists and then tell people about it. You told us. If you wanted to die, you would kill yourself. It's that simple. I believe you are seeking attention through self-mutilation. This is a common disorder, too. If nobody notices your cuts, you tell people about it and bring it to their attention - so YOU can get attention. You told us you just took care of your mom before she died. That was quite a feat to manage by yourself. You were the care giver and now you would like to be given some attention. Sadly, your mom is no longer around to give that attention back to you. It happens. However, you still need to be evaluated by a medical professional.
Don't get me wrong. You can still be evaluated by a homeopathic physician, but yours is a condition that needs to be accurately diagnosed to know what remedies or herbal applications to use. There are a wide variety of herbal combinations and homeopathic remedies that could help your condition or combination of conditions - but until you are evaluated, all the advice in the world is going to be a waste of time and effort until you know exactly what whole-body issues you have to deal with. A health care professional - homeopathic or traditional physician - can best assess the whole you and guide you from there.
No matter what a few members here might think, homeopathic remedies and herbal applications are NOT bunk. There are homeopathic veterinarians - so you know animals can't know about mind over matter issues.
Having said all that, I hope you are aware that homeopathic and herbal remedies are not necesarily a cheap alternative to prescription medicines. Getting the right dosage, the right evaluation and the right combination of herbs, teas and remedies can be costly - and your insurance will not cover it. Insurance companies tend to invest heavily in pharmaceuticals and will only support clients that buy into their investments. THAT is the ONLY reason your medical insurance will not cover the cost of a homeopath, herbalist or natural alternative medicines.
Don't listen to the people who say homeopathy or tea remedies or herbalists are quacks. You never hear about these professionals being sued for malpractice, do you? I rest my case.

Hi,
Let me first start off by saying that i know what your going through. I had to take a leave of absence from my job to help my mother take care of my father (who was dying of lung and liver cancer) i spent a month with him and then he slipped into a coma and died. It was the hardest thing i've ever witnessed in my life and has definately left some scars. I'm working through the depression that has resulted with therapy and the company of good friends. I suggest the same in combination with tea made from a flower called St. John's wart. Also I find praying good when i get really depressed over my fathers death.
take care and be good to yourself

I would go to the health food store. I know they have some herbal remedies for depression and anxiety. How about you try to release your pain in a positive way, instead of cutting your self. Try some yoga, write poetry, go for a jog. They say excercise makes you happy. I would also find someone to talk to. That always helps. Whatever you do, don't let it get the best of you. It will get better. Keep thinking positive
