I would do my own survey if I were you

just go around your year, ask how much they spend on average a week and how much pocket money they get a week and record it.

I know it's a bit of a hassle but I doubt you'll find any stats on the internet, plus you'll know your results are reliable

On average, the middle class and higher teen has anywhere from $100 to $400 per month to blow on anything they want. When i was a teenager back in the '60's I got a weekly allowance of $5.75 per week, and I had to buy my lunch at school every day out of that---75 cents for lunch each day, which left me with $1.50 per week to spend any way that I wanted to.

If you're under 18, your rights of privacy are doubley protected. You can only guess at that.

What a stupid thing for a math teacher to assign for classwork. I would not do it.

Hollywood. They keep a listing of the highest grossing pictures. Most gross isn't a category yet. From there ... proceeds aaaaaaaallll the spending.
