Think of it. It is quite apparent now. The Packers went to the playoffs for years on end and only won the Super Bowl once. And the other time they went to the Super Bowl they blew it and suffered a humiliating upset defeat to the Broncos. Years of success led to years of terribly low draft picks. And from what I see on the field now, it is absolutely killing them. The talent just isn't there. Blaming Favre for this is almost pointless. He isn't playing like an MVP but he isn't playing like the worst QB in the league either. He just doesn't have the players around him. Although Driver is definitely the exception.

True. One or two players dont decide if a teams going to be good or not. One player may blow the game for them but it doesnt make the whole team bad or good. Even if Farve isnt good there are plenty of others that deserve just as much if not more blame. Just think about the Offensive Line. They are the reason Farve gets sacked. The Wide Recievers have to do a better job of getting open. The defense has to keep the game close for Farve to be able to lead the offense and win. So far none of these are happening and Farve is getting all the blame.

Answer is False.
The draft is where you try to get an athletic young up and comer, and you end up with a Ryan Leaf. Occasionally you will burn a 6th round pick on some unestablished back up QB name Tom Brady!
The Packers problem is they need to make better free agent signings and get some tough guy veterans in there. Beef up the line on both sides of the ball with some 3rd or 4th year tough guys. The draft is risky you can get a LaDanian Tomlinson, but you can also get burned and you get burned more often than not.
The Pack play in a relatively weak division, and should be able to be playoff bound with just a couple of decent additions. They are ok with offensive skilled positions (Driver, Favre, Green, Franks) These guys are good enough, but they need to bite the bullet and spend some money to keep guys like Javon Walker around!
There defense still needs a little work, I like the addition of Charles Woodson, but its about 3 or 4 years late. A.J Hawk is going to be good.
Keep the faith in your team, but the biggest thing holding them back is their reluctance to spend money!

With the 9th p.c.. in the 2009 NFL Draft. the eco-friendly Bay Packers decide on Everette Brown out of Florida State college. reason: The Packers are changing to a three-4 protection this season and that they are going to use their first p.c.. to help this transition. eco-friendly Bay ranked in the backside 25% in sacks final season and this youthful proficient LB will help them with their bypass rushing.

you are blaiming years of past success for current failures. So then you are recomending after having a good year just lose so u can have a high draft. Draft picks lets see can be used in many ways even for a trade and a high draft pick does not mean that player they get will save their organization. i could go on but im just gonna stop
your arguement is weak.

The Packers need to stop trying to pretrend that Farve can do it. He is certainly a Hall of Fame q/b but he is hurting the team now and he should step back and hold the clipboard for a year or two, and help the Pack with their next q/b.

No. What's killing the Packers is the Lombardi spirit is gone in them and they continue to stick with a quarterback who in his day was great but who now is well past his prime and effectiveness. Draft picks aside, the Packers have much to do to regain their stature.

I don't think they've figured out how to play the entire game. They fall apart in the 4th quarter. That's either lack of conditioning or lack of concentration or poor coaching.

I disagree. Perhaps bad draft picks have hurt them, but low draft picks in and of itself, have not.
Let's look at the NFL's top five leading rushers:
Larry Johnson (1st round, 27th overall)
Frank Gore (3rd round)
LD Tomlinson (1st round, 5th overall)
Tiki Barber (2nd round)
Chester Taylor (6th round)
Only two out of the top five rushers are first round picks, and of those two LJ was a late first-rounder.
Let's look at the top five receivers in terms of yardage:
Chad Johnson (2nd round)
Roy Williams (1st round, 7th overall)
Andre Johnson (1st round, 3rd overall)
Reggie Wayne (1st round, 30th overall)
Steve Smith (3rd round)
Three first rounders, one of which is a late rounder.
Of the five top rated QBs, Manning and Palmer were early first rounders, Brees was a second rounder, Damon Huard and Tony Romo were both FREE AGENTS (not drafted at all!).
No, it wasn't the draft order that's hurt you. It may have been the players selected, but not the order.

I'd say False. Seems to be more a combination of injuries and losses to free agency.
