I could not live happily without the opposite sex's existence, if that is your question. Certain people of the opposite sex, heck yes! But not the whole gender. Women would not be very happy without men and vice versa. Not to mention that the human race would die off without reproduction.

Assuming you mean can women live with out men ? Yes we can reproduce without men today. Not a problem. On the other hand can men live with out women, the answer is no. They would have no way to incubate a fetus to term. Science can take the chromosomes of one female and split with another females and go to term reproduction a female fetus.
If you mean emotionally I think we could adapt and survive .

Sure!
"I" could live...
It wouldnt be a "happy time", with out the opposite sex...
There would be no procreation with out the opposite sex...
No "furthering" of the human race...
No good meals, long walks and all the other meaningful things we do, with out the opposite sex....
It would be a very dull and boring life, with out the opposite sex...
But, I would be alive...and existing...
SO GIMME BACK MY WIFE!!!! :)
