By far Jimi Hendix's cover of Bob Dylan's 'All Along the Watchtower'.

After Jimi did his version.... Dylan did that song JIMI'S way.
That tells you something.

And I really like Ani DiFranco's cover of Prince's 'When Doves Cry'.

Tina Turners cover of "Proud Mary"(a.k.a. "Rollin' on the River")by Credence Clearwater Revival. Both versions are GREAT. That song is usually first associated with Tina Turner (also one of her biggest hits) but it was actually a cover of CCRs original.

I don't know who did it but I heard "American Woman" originally by the Guess Who performed with Power Tools.
No lyrics but it was cool. They used a DA Sander for the Electric Guitar riff. Perfect pitch.

I would have to say No Doubts cover of "It's My Life" by Talk Talk. First off - they updated the sound a little but not too much that it sounds different and then Gwen's voice is so much more emotional than the originals.

Love it, Love it, Love it!
