Yes. She's saving one life from death. What is so wrong w/ celebrity adoption? You people act like it didn't happen w/ Angelina Jolie. You think she didn't pull those strings? Come on, Madonna just has a worse reputation than Jolie, but she has the best intentions at heart. Give the woman a break people!

Madonna's mothering skills aside, I approve of celebrity adoption. There are so many children out there who need homes, it would be great if we found parents for them all before we started popping out new ones. But don't worry; i'm sure Madonna has a very competent nanny, and aside from becoming spoiled and developing a false sense of self-importance, the child will be fine!

It is her right to adopt that child. As long as she is deemed fit and capable then hats off to her for adopting, just like any other person who adopts from out of the States to save a child. Not only is she giving a child a home and a life, but she is helping the population problem by not having another birth child and choosing to adopt.
If people would put themselves under a microscope like we do movie/rock stars, than we would become better people for ourselves, instead of looking to judge others. Maybe we could turn our energies onto helping others, instead of judging others.

Of course it was "right" for her to adopt. Pulling strings to get immediate action on something you want, even a human life? Well, that's free enterprise at work.

Besides, where else could the money have been spent, saving hundreds of desperate sick homeless starving kids? Where's the reward in that?

Why would it be wrong for anyone who can provide a loving home to adopt any child whose future is bleak?

How could it be wrong? - even if she doesn't raise the child herself (as above said she has a competant nanny) What better way to spend your money when you have so much you don't know what to do with it?

That kid would be dead in five years or at the very best he would be eating and crapping out of the same bowl. Talk about hitting the lottery!
