Hillary is in that same category. Scary thought for BOTH of them!
All they are good for, in my opinion, are the models for scary Halloween masks. I can't think of ANY mask more frightening, can you?

I don't think Pelosi, Rice or any other women will be the next President. This country is still too bigoted to elect a woman to that position.

Anyway, a sickening thought is that any far right republican may be elected in 2008. We need to come out of the dark ages and divorce the church from the office of the President.

It is not a question of whether she COULD be the President. After January, if Bush and Cheney were to go down together in a plane crash, Nancy Pelosi WOULD be the president. And our long national nightmare would finally be over.

Who has suggested this? Hmm...this is something I have not heard about. She seems content to be Speaker and has a lot of work ahead of her. I hope to see true moderation from her, as that is what she is espousing. We'll see a lot more come January, but President? She's not even considering a run as far as I know. If she is, would you mind supplying a link to this information? I'd really like to check it out, thanks.

Note: She is second in succession, not third.

Nancy Pelosi is the protaganist of the comic strip Nancy, by Ernie Bushmiller.

Nancy Pelosi was first introduced to newspaper readers in 1932 as a minor character in the popular comic "Sexy Secretary & the Stupid Hobo" published by the Hearst Syndicate. Originally portrayed as a naughty girl who created chaos in her aunt Fritzi's San Francisco townhouse, the character was spun off into her own strip 4 years later, originally entitled "That Darned Nancy Pelosi", later shortened simply to "Nancy".

"Nancy" divided critics. To her fans, she was delightful stylized, and somehow remiscent of both minimalism and surrealism. Others found her banal and nonsensical. To the masses of cartoon readers, however, "Nancy", while often predictable, is still good for an occasional laugh.

In the comics, her boyfriend is "Sluggo" Schumer, a tough-talking New York street kid. Also trying to woo Nancy's favor is "Rollo" Dean, a stereotypical rich kid, who is friendly but prone to verbal outbursts.

In the 2006 National Cartoonists Association Poll, Nancy Pelosi triumphed over Dennis "The Menace" Hastert to win the Reuben Award.

Yes I agree, she gives me the Sh**s. She acts like she has manners, but every times she opens her mouth she is rude! Don't worry all her true colors will come out soon. No American in his or her right mind will vote her to be President.

That's absurd. I am a Democrat, and I haven't heard any actual people talking about her being a good candidate. She's not viable as a candidate for that office.

She is third in the line of succession. If an event took out Bush and Cheney, she is next.
