Who do you think would give the better advice?

The one with more experience in the area of the question. 1000 people could give me advice, I'm going to take the one that makes most sense to me regardless of who it was that said it.

That depends on the situation. When things got weird between me and my husband, I solicited absolutely no advice from my circle of friends, because I didn't want to put them in the middle of it. And I'd go outside my circle if the problem was with one of my friends, for the same reason.
Friends have the advantage of knowing you well, sometimes better than you know yourself, but there are some times when you really don't want to test just how strong the friendship is.
