How to graph?

Question

If you were using Microsoft Excel, how would you graph this:
v=x(8-2x)(6-2x) v=4x^3-28x^2+48x v=4x(x^2-7x+12).

This is the question

An open-top box is to be constucted from a 6 foot by 8 foot rectangular carboard by cutting out equal squares at each corner and then folding up the flaps.

Now it wants me to graph the function and show the graph over the valid range of the variable x.

ok. set up 2 columns
column 2 has x values spanning -7 to +7(type -7, -6, -5 in the first 3 boxes, then select the 3 boxes and click on the bottom right corner of the "3" box and drag the numbers down to 15 spaces. excel will enter the rest of the numbers for you until you have a range from -7 to +7)

in column 1 you set up ur equations. type this: =(click on the 1box in the 2nd column, excel will insert a alphanumeric designation for this number)*(8-2*(click on the 1box))*(6-2*(click on the 1box))

then select the box with the formula u just made. and right click the bottom right corner and pull it down 15 spaces. so that for every x value you have, excel gives you a V value.

Then select Insert, Chart; select X,Y scatter
click on the top tab that says series
then add series
click on the icon beside x values, then highlight your 2nd column (all 15 values)
then click on the icon beside y values and select the 1st column (all 15 values)

That should do it.
just repeat that for all your different equations and you should be fine! GL

ok so that's how I see it... A bar graph is appropriate used once you're making some comparisons with particular numerical values. even although, a bar graph will become slightly bulky in case you have too many values or are making too many comparisons. Ex. Max top of a peach tree vs Max top of Apple tree, and so on. A line graph is appropriate used while comparing a great style of documents factors. Line graphs are marvelous in showing adjustments by way of the years. Ex. adjustments in top of a peach tree from 2000 to 2009 A pie graph ( circle graph) is the finest in that each and each slice represents a chew of the entire. So in the adventure that your messing with a proportion than Pie Graph is appropriate. Ex. A portion of a finished volume of peaches given to distinctive persons. wish this facilitates slightly. You get the texture for it the greater you artwork with the quite a few graphs.
