As a child did you use NES or SNES as a way to escape reality?

i went through some tramatic stuff and it was a way to escape, have you ever had a simlar experience?

I used it because I was bored and had nothing better to do.

Yep, I've had a grand old time messing around with the NES. And yes, I have used it as an escape, such as when my town got hit with a tornado and the power went out (We later got generators running) Super Mario Bros. makes one good therapist!

THose systems kept me out of trouble and saved money from going to the local arcade.
